Are your luxury items authentic?

Yes. Every luxury item offered by Shimmer & Shawls is carefully inspected prior to listing. We stand behind the authenticity of every item we sell.

Do luxury items come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA)?

As a general practice, luxury handbags and accessories with a selling price of $500 or more include a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) or third-party authentication report. Select items below this price point may also include authentication at our discretion.

What authentication services do you use?

Authentication providers may include Entrupy, Real Authentication, LegitGrails, or other recognized luxury authentication experts.

Are you affiliated with Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, or other designer brands?

No. Shimmer & Shawls is an independent reseller of authentic luxury goods and is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or sponsored by any designer brand.

Product Information

Are your luxury items new or pre-owned?

Both. Unless otherwise stated, luxury items are pre-owned. Any item that is new, new with tags (NWT), or new without tags (NWOT) will be clearly identified within the product listing.

How do you determine condition?

We evaluate each item individually and provide condition descriptions based on its overall appearance, functionality, and signs of wear. We encourage customers to review all photographs and descriptions carefully before purchasing.

Are measurements exact?

Measurements are taken by hand and are approximate. Minor variations may occur.

Do items come with original boxes, dust bags, or accessories?

When available, included accessories such as boxes, dust bags, authenticity cards, receipts, certificates, care booklets, keys, locks, or tags will be clearly disclosed within the product listing.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

We currently ship within the United States, including U.S. Territories and eligible APO/FPO military addresses.

How long does shipping take?

Most orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Delivery times vary depending on the shipping method selected and carrier performance.

Do you provide tracking information?

Yes. Tracking information is provided once your order ships.

Do you require signature confirmation?

Select luxury, designer, and high-value orders may require signature confirmation upon delivery for added security.

Returns

Are luxury and designer items final sale?

Yes. Luxury, designer, vintage, and authenticated merchandise are generally considered final sale. Please review product descriptions, measurements, photographs, and condition details carefully before purchasing.

What items can be returned?

Eligible boutique jewelry (excluding earrings), scarves, shawls, and select non-luxury boutique items may be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they meet our return eligibility requirements.

Can I exchange an item?

We do not currently offer direct exchanges. Eligible items may be returned in accordance with our Return Policy, and a new order may then be placed.

Boutique Jewelry

What materials do you use?

Our boutique jewelry collection may include stainless steel, PVD gold-plated stainless steel, sterling silver, silver-tone metals, and other carefully selected materials. Material details are provided within each product listing.

Is your jewelry hypoallergenic?

Many of our jewelry pieces are designed to be hypoallergenic. Please refer to the product description for specific material information.

Will gold-plated jewelry tarnish?

Proper care can significantly extend the life of gold-plated jewelry. We recommend removing jewelry before swimming, showering, exercising, or applying perfumes and lotions.
