Hi, I’m Meriem — founder of Shimmer & Shawls.
My love of fashion began long before Shimmer & Shawls. Growing up in Morocco and later serving in the United States Navy, I was fortunate to experience different cultures, styles, and traditions from around the world. Those experiences shaped my appreciation for craftsmanship, timeless design, and the stories that beautiful accessories carry with them.
My travels and experiences introduced me to a wide variety of styles, cultures, and craftsmanship, inspiring my appreciation for beautiful accessories that eventually led to the creation of Shimmer & Shawls.
What started as a passion for elegant scarves, jewelry, and accessories has grown into a carefully curated destination for luxury handbags, jewelry, scarves, and timeless accessories.
As a Navy veteran, wife, mother, and entrepreneur, I’ve always believed that luxury should feel personal. Every item in our collection is individually sourced, researched, photographed, and presented with the same level of care I would expect as a customer myself.
